Dear Gentle Hashers,

You are cordially invited to celebrate a momentous occasion—the 200th run of the Beijing Full Moon Hash!

After 200 runs, we’ve reached a proud old age, so naturally, we’re celebrating with an extra childish and silly theme. Because, really, who says you can’t be 200 and still play with your food?

For anyone who did not spend their childhood blissfully glued to a screen: Fruit Ninja is a video game in which the player must slice fruit that is thrown into the air by swiping the device’s touch screen with their finger.

Rest assured, we will not be throwing melons but different kinds of soap bubbles at you and anyone not fighting fairly will have their sword replaced with a cotton bud.

What to bring:

As with any birthday party you are expected to bring a present; namely the most creative sword. It can be real or imaginary, functional or fantastical—just make sure it’s something that would make a ninja proud.

The sword that impresses the Full Moon Team the most with its creativity, originality, or sheer absurdity  (your old recorder? The plastic spoons Lily’s American Diner keeps sending my way despite selecting ‘no cutlery’ or maybe a plastic replica of Andúril, the legendary blade wielded by Aragorn during the War of the Ring) will receive our very special anniversary patch.

As our very special guest, we are overjoyed to have Dazed & Confused, the founder of our kennel, join us this month to mark the special occasion.
