Made to mimic the routine a bike messenger might face in a typical delivery day, alleycats send riders around a city to a series of checkpoint stops.

Traffic, stoplights, potholes, pedestrians, and car exhaust are a part of the experience.

It’ll be hot but rainy. Actually a really fun weather to weave through traffic if wearing appropriate clothing to get wet.

Look out for the event being cancelled on the day or day before. Express your feelings of excitement or apprehension leading up to so the best decision is made.

A likely compromise might be shortening.

 

As much as I encourage people to try out their navigating skills and go for the alleycat race, there is a plethora of good company riding at a chill pace with the group ride. Nobody is left behind.

The group ride will go to a quick beer stop before the 2nd beer stop which will be the finish line of the alleycat. Once everyone has been accounted for we’ll carry on together to get food… Or just eat there if the rain sucks.
